Muffin's Happy Tail
My husband and I adopted Muffin in 2015. I originally went to the shelter that day to help a friend find a dog. Muffin was in one of the cages in the front lobby. I immediately noticed her long, awesome looking fur. I also noticed her age, which was 12. I have a soft spot for old cats so I took a pic and asked my husband if could I apply for just one more cat (we already had three at the time). He said yes!
Muffin has been the perfect companion to our lives. She is caring and affectionate, a giver of the best snuggles. She is always available for cuddles after my long work day or my husband’s long dialysis shifts. She brings us so much joy. We can’t imagine ever being without her.

This year, BARCS is dedicating Giving Tuesday donations to our Love Lasts Forever Program, which supports the care of homeless senior animals and sponsors their adoption fees in order to shorten their stay at the shelter and find them loving homes.
To kickoff Giving Tuesday the Nancy Sherertz Family Foundation has pledged to match all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 from now through Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Give today or tomorrow to take part in the match and help save senior animals!
