Lost & Found Pets at BARCS
The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is responsible for handling lost/found animals found in Baltimore City. However, there are additional area shelters that also take in lost/found animals. If you are outside of BARCS' service area or are unsure whom to call, please refer to this list of local area shelters.

All animals on this page were given a nickname to help them feel like part of the family while in our care. If you believe your pet is listed below, please contact BARCS immediately at resource@barcs.org. ***Please note that the legal lost animal hold in the State of Maryland is 72 hours.
