Join us on Sunday, February 16, at Pimlico Race Course for a special adoption event sponsored by Petco Love and Pimlico! BARCS will be partnering with the Maryland SPCA, the Baltimore Humane Society, and Baltimore County Animal Services for a standout adoption event in the Baltimore area and surrounding counties.

The Be My Valentine Adoption Event is held at Pimlico Race Course (5201 Park Heights Ave. Baltimore, MD 21215) in the Grandstand 2nd Floor and Triple Crown Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adoption fees are WAIVED for all animals at the event. Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and small companion animals are all available for adoption!

Families will be able to bring home their new furry friends the day of the event if the animal is already altered. All adoptions are first come, first served and adoption fees have been waived for all pets at the event. Standard adoption procedures still apply.

Adoption Information to keep in mind:

💘Adopters need to bring a valid photo ID and proof of current address. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age.

💘Adopters may NOT bring their current pets to the event. Adoption counselors from each shelter will be giving all adopters very thorough instructions about acclimating new pets to homes with existing pets.

💘Cat carriers, leashes and collars will be available for additional purchase at the event.

**Due to pending repairs, the second story may have access limitations for those in need of an elevator. Stairs and escalators will be in service at the time of the event. Participating shelters will make accommodations for adopters who are unable to access the second floor. If there are any changes, we will update information about this as the event draws closer.**
