You can provide food, shelter, comfort and hope to animals that need it most. Here at BARCS, there are several ways to dedicate your donation. Read below to find the one that best suits your occasion.

Mailed Letters and Printable Cards

Click the button below to make an online donation that results in a mailed letter from BARCS and/or an instant printable card for those who need their acknowledgment in a pinch! Please note, for those who wish to have BARCS mail their letter, our printing and mailing process typically takes about two weeks.

If you prefer to drop off or mail a check, please read the next section for information about that process.

Direct Email Acknowledgement

Our online donation form allows you to send an immediate email to your recipient. This is a good option for donors who know their recipient’s email address and want to send a simple and quick message. To create this type of gift, click the blue button below and on the first pop-up screen, click Donation Options (+) at the very bottom, and then click Dedicate This Donation.

Set Up Your Own Tribute Fundraising Page (Online)

Set up your own Tribute Fundraising Page to encourage others to mark a milestone with you. Make a page to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or another special occasion or create a page in memoriam of someone who has passed by encouraging a gift to BARCS in lieu of flowers.

Facebook Fundraisers

Facebook's fundraiser tool makes it easy to set up a page in honor, memory or celebration of a special person or pet. BARCS is a registered nonprofit on Facebook, which means that we receive 100% of donations made to our organization. You can set up your own Facebook fundraiser to support BARCS at https://www.facebook.com/BARCSbaltimore/fundraisers/

**Please note: BARCS Tribute Fundraising Pages (mentioned above) are hosted on our website but also connect directly to Facebook. You will be prompted to make this connection during the setup process. We highly suggest that supporters use this function as it allows your friends and family without Facebook to still donate to your page.

Tribute Gifts Made by Mail

In order to cut administrative spending costs and give more money directly to animal care, BARCS will no longer be sending paper notifications to honorees when gifts are made online. Paper letter notifications are only sent when a gift is made via mail by check and must include the honoree's name and full mailing address plus the occasion (honor, memory, celebration, etc). Paper letters are typically received by your honoree about two weeks after we receive your gift.

You can mail a check made payable to "BARCS" to 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225.

Please Include:

  • Name of the person/pet you are honoring

  • Name of the person who should be notified (if different than the person/pet being honored)

  • Address to send this notification letter

  • Your name (donor)

  • Your address
