Families Belong Together
We Believe That
Through a combination of grant funding, internal resources and strategic community partnerships, BARCS’ Keeping Pets With Families Program offers a range of essential services at no cost to qualifying pet owners.
Keeping Pets With Families
BARCS' Keeping Pets With Families Program (KPWF) is a compassionate initiative aimed at addressing the root causes that often lead families to consider surrendering their pets. BARCS recognizes that financial constraints and unexpected emergencies can threaten the bond between humans and their animal companions, this program steps in to provide crucial support. Through a combination of grant funding, internal resources and strategic community partnerships, BARCS offers a range of essential services at no cost to qualifying pet owners.
Ways KPWF May Be Able to Help
The Keeping Pets With Families Program has several initiatives designed to empower our community to better care for their pets:
Intake prevention with low-cost or free resources
Low-cost and free community vaccine days
Emergency and crisis boarding
Access to care for medical emergencies
By proactively addressing these challenges, BARCS not only keeps pets out of shelters but also fosters stronger, healthier pet-owner relationships within the community. The program's intake prevention strategies and low-cost community vaccine days underscore BARCS' commitment to promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
