NEW Foster Initiative at BARCS

BARCS is excited to launch a brand new foster incentive program to help alleviate shelter space and save more lives. Our goal is to place 50 dogs into month-long foster homes within a 5-day period.

Foster families who commit to caring for an eligible dog for four full weeks, or until the dog gets adopted (whichever comes first), will receive a $200 Visa gift card upon completion of the foster period.

The program will run from Tuesday, September 17 through Saturday, September 21, 2024. Dogs eligible for the foster incentive program are 1+ years old and weigh more than 35 pounds.

BARCS will provide all the needed supplies including a leash, collar, ID tag, bowls, crate, food, kong, and poop bags. We also have two Dog Foster Coordinators and a Dog Foster Trainer to assist families along the way. Plus, there is a big adoption event scheduled for the end of September to help foster dogs find loving homes.
