Boo Kitty
Boo Kitty, a sweet senior, arrived at BARCS through no fault of her own seeking medical attention and a loving home. An evaluation by our veterinary team revealed she had fleas and severe dental disease with missing and tartar-covered teeth. This condition left her gums vulnerable and contributed to a wound on the left commissure of her mouth. After treating her fleas and providing decompression time in a foster home, it was decided she should be transferred to our Franky Fund partner.
There, Boo Kitty underwent critical tooth extraction and cleaning. It was found that her dental disease had caused an infection deep in her root canal, which has since been treated. If left untreated, the infection could lead to complications and is also a contributing factor to heart problems—which is why regular dental cleanings are critical.
Soon after, Boo Kitty was adopted into a loving home.
